Marisa Rhode brings over 16 years of dedicated service and expertise supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). Throughout her career, she has consistently built strong relationships, delivered exceptional client solutions, and implemented innovative approaches that drive success in the National Defense sector.
As Vice President of Business Transformation at Significance, Marisa leads initiatives to enhance corporate capabilities, deliver impactful solutions for federal clients, and shape strategies that support organizational growth.
Prior to this role, Marisa spearheaded growth and strategy for Navy accounts at Aeyon, specializing in digital transformation, financial management, and the PPBE process. She also served as a Professional Staff Member for the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, where her expertise in financial analytics and the appropriations process influenced budget policy for DHS. Earlier in her career, Marisa served as a civilian Navy and Marine Corps Budget Officer, gaining valuable experience at commands across Okinawa, Japan, and Washington, D.C.
A leader in the Defense and Financial Management communities, Marisa is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and serves as Executive Secretary for the PPBE Reform Task Force within the Society of Defense Financial Managers (SDFM). She earned her degree in Economics from the University of Hawai’i.
Marisa lives in Potomac, Maryland, with her husband and two sons. She enjoys cheering for the Orioles and the WVU Mountaineers, her eldest son’s alma mater. A passionate foodie, Marisa loves combining her culinary interests with travel, exploring everything from oyster tastings in Maine to cooking classes in New Orleans and hidden gems in Portugal.
