MARY AHERN, FOUNDER

Our founder, president and CEO, Mary Ahern, was inspired to be an entrepreneur by her father from Brooklyn, NY, who had multiple successful businesses while she was growing up. She saw firsthand how fulfilling it is to own and grow a business through hard work, partnering with the right people, and building trusted relationships.

After working with multiple software companies, she built a government contracting company with a partner and went out on her own in 2014 to start Significance Inc.

Mary founded Significance with the vision of creating a client-centric company focused on developing lasting business relationships by providing exceptional service.

Today, Significance is a thriving EDWOSB (economically disadvantaged woman owned business), certified by the SBA. Significance is now 150 people strong and a leader in data-driven management and technology solutions and continues to expand its capabilities to meet the needs of clients and partners.

"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts."

Everyone plays a part in creating the success of any company or organization and the differing perspectives and strengths of each team member must be recognized and appreciated. My passion and strengths are in building positive, trusted, and mutually beneficial relationships.

"Working for a small, woman-owned business that is competing alongside the big consulting firms has given us all the opportunity to make an impact and build a culture, which we could never do in the larger firms. We bring what we know works and what doesn’t to the policies we’re developing as we grow.”

Andrea Fisher, Director of Client Success
