Leland Owens brings over two decades of experience in federal contracting to Significance since joining in 2015 as one of our first employees. He is responsible for serving as the primary executive interface with the company’s clients and teaming partners to ensure successful engagements and quality delivery. Mr. Owens oversees the management, development, financial, and administrative performance of Significance’s U.S. Government contracts. Through previous roles at T. Rowe Price, KPMG, BearingPoint, and Deloitte, and his current role with Significance, Leland has gained a wide range of experience with real property, financial management, business transformation, and audit readiness.
Leland has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting (double major) from the University of Maryland and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. He’s also an active member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) and the Association of Government Accountants (AGA).
A lifelong resident of the National Capital area, Leland stays active as a father of four, doing CrossFit, and supporting the DC-area sports teams.
