A Strategic Opportunity for National Defense
The SHIELD IDIQ is a landmark multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that will provide the U.S. government — including MDA and other Department of Defense organizations — with the flexibility to rapidly issue task orders across a broad array of mission areas including research and development, systems engineering, digital engineering, rapid prototyping, integration, sustainment, and advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. The overall contract ceiling is $151 billion over a potential 10-year period of performance.
With more than 2,463 companies submitting proposals, only 1,014 qualifying firms — including Significance Inc. — were selected in this initial tranche.
