As Chief Operating Officer at Significance, David Romola leads the organization’s efforts to achieve operational excellence, ensuring that processes, resources, and initiatives are strategically aligned with enterprise objectives. He oversees key business functions, including operations, recruiting, and delivery, while collaborating closely with CEO Mary Ahern-Snyder to drive organizational success.
David brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in government consulting, where he has consistently delivered operational efficiency, business growth, and exceptional client outcomes. He has held prominent executive roles, including President and Chief Operating Officer, at government contracting firms of all sizes. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed and delivered a wide range of IT and business consulting services for CONUS and OCONUS programs.
Prior to joining Significance, David served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Citizant, an IT solutions provider at the Department of Treasury, Federal Financial Organiczations, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He also held senior leadership roles at Expression Networks, PwC, Deloitte, and KPMG, further honing his expertise in federal consulting and strategic operations.
David holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).
David resides in Broadlands, Virginia, with his wife of over 34 years, Ellen, and their dog, Luna. As proud empty nesters, David and Ellen enjoy traveling, reading, playing golf, and exploring new and innovative restaurants. They are avid supporters of the Washington Capitals and can often be heard cheering, “Let’s Go CAPS!”
